Exterior Preparation and Painting Procedure
Remove all lights and personal items. Cover and protect all surfaces.- Dig below ground surface around the entire exterior of the building. Pressure wash and clean with miledecide to be able to seal and paint below the surface. Then seal and paint below surface
- Treat all mildew and fungus with Tri Sodium Phosphate and bleach directly undiluted, only when the surface is dry and most effective.
- To pressure wash exterior after treating home, this process should not be combined as most painters do. This includes decks, walkways, windows and lawn furniture.
- Scrape loose and peeling paint, then prime all bare and scrape surfaces with oil primer.
- Gut all wall cracks and before patching them match textured surfaces.
- Caulk all wall cracks with a 55 year caulk; this prevents water and moisture as well as bugs from entering and causing damage.
- To seal all surfaces, we use a bonding agent so that adhesion is guaranteed. It also will prevent moisture penetration and absorption of your coatings for optimal coverage and protection.
- Painting all surfaces. Two coats mandatory after sealer is applied. Only the highest quality Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore products are used.
- All glass windows and doors are thoroughly cleaned and paint chips are removed.
